AP&W Site

Design  |   Development

AP&W Site - detailAP&W Site - homeMy Dad has a contracting business, and he asked if I could help him out with a quick web presence. Usually, I am wary of such favors (surely, most designers can relate), but I thought it could be fun to bring a strong industrial influence to a clean, info-driven design. I am quite happy with the results.

Milestone Documents Site

Design  |   Development

Milestone Documents - timeline detailMilestone Documents Site - home pageIn March, the new Milestone Documents launched. This was a wonderful opportunity to work with the smart people at MD, and to once again work with the brilliant minds at Vector Media Group. I consider myself a student of History, so this was an especially fun and challenging design/front-end development project.

John DeGroote Logo

Identity

Logo for John DeGrooteThis past Fall and Winter I once again had the opportunity to work with John DeGroote, for whom I had previously designed settlementperspectives.com. John was striking out on his own, and needed a brand for himself. The look had to be contemporary and unique, yet still conservative enough for the  law-types.

Unify LogoBranding your own product is tough. For Unit Interactive’s “Unify”, I worked to create a brand that was fresh, intriguing, and evocative of the bold new approach that Unify takes toward content editing on websites.

Vector Media Group

Design  |   Development

Vector HomepageVector Case StudyThe guys at Vector Media Group had outgrown their old site, and their next site design needed to address all the unique idiosyncrasies that make Vector such a great team. Vector brings a new level of  openness and tangible results to SEO and SEM, and I was excited to express that for them.

Settlement Perspectives: Blog

Design  |   Development

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with the best settlement negotiator I have ever met. Mr. John DeGroote had an epiphany on the shores of Galveston not too long ago, and I got to help him wrangle that intangible aspiration in to a bona fide website plus identity. Pay him a visit… I am sure you will learn something.

Settlement Perspectives is a blog dedicated to the art of negotiation. While it mainly relies on the expertise of it’s owner, Mr. John DeGroote, the site encourages differing perspectives on the common problems of negotiation, mediation, litigation and settlement disputes.

Midget Widget

Design  |   Development  |   Experiments

The midget is a smaller version of  John Hicks, an Art Director. Not THE Jon Hicks, but a fascinating character all his own. John and I concepted, designed and built the midget as a self-promotional Apple widget that allows him to update users with his current activities. I also built a simple CMS to allow him to easily update his info.
